Our Story

Cadence is focused on improving the lives of hospitalized patients.

Our Story

Located in San Diego, California, Cadence was co-founded in 2004 by Ted Schroeder, our President and CEO.  Our vision today is the same as it was at our founding; to improve the lives of hospitalized patients while building the premier hospital focused pharmaceutical company in North America. From just two employees, Cadence has grown to almost 250.  In 2006, we became a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: CADX).  With the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval of OFIRMEV® (acetaminophen) injection in November 2010, Cadence made the transition from a development stage company to a commercial company.  Our commercial efforts are supported by a team of highly experienced professionals including medical science liaisons, strategic business development, and a nationwide team of hospital sales managers and sales specialists

At inception we began the process of developing a dynamic corporate culture.  Today, it’s a culture with strong embedded values that are critical to how we conduct business – with each other, the medical community, strategic partners, and shareholders.  We use these values to create a competitive advantage and as a guiding force as we plan, navigate and thrive during periods of rapid growth and challenging endeavors.  Each of our employees contributes to the strength of our culture.
